THIS week finally sees the return of Emmerdale heartthrob Nikhil Sharma, who is thrown straight into the drama when he's attacked by resident bad boy Ross Barton.

Nikhil's return will see him being roped in to save the family business which is frightfully close to bankruptcy, thanks to Jai's terrifying addiction to cocaine.
What's worse, Nikhil will come face to face with Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) the woman he still blames for the death of his late wife Gennie.
Debbie's psycho ex boyfriend murdered the love of Nikhil's life so when he enters The Woolpack to confront the buxom blonde.
As Nikhil let's it all out to a guilt-ridden Debbie, Ross swoops in with a right hook to defend his other half.

Speaking to the Radio Times ahead of his long-awaited comeback, actor Rik Makaram spilled all on his attack at the hands of the villainous Ross.
He explained: “Yes, Nikhil does run into Debbie, this person who he sees as partially responsible for Gennie dying.
"Nikhil feels massively conflicted about it, and even more so when Ross ends up hitting him! He’s very shocked about that, but does he expect anything less from those around Debbie? No.”

Nikhil returns to the Dales as a new man. Left with his daughter Molly following his wife's murder, he is now a successful single father with a worldwide chain of hotels under his belt and a huge fortune in his bank account.
"Nikhil’s now very smart and dapper," he revealed.

"The costume designers were excited about reinventing him and I’m pretty chuffed with his wardrobe. He maintains his clean-cut style, but they’ve given him a modern, cosmopolitan makeover. We’re used to seeing him in sharp suits, but now he has this extra flourish!”
Emmerdale airs Nikhil's return on Thursday at 7pm on ITV.
