Carry on Christmas
BARBARA Windsor presents a Carry On evening guaranteed to raise eyebrows and tickle funny bones. First up, Carry On Christmas, one of four festive Carry On shows made for television in the Sixties and Seventies.
Based (very loosely) on A Christmas Carol, it stars the irrepressible Sid James as Scrooge and Peter Butterworth as Dracula.
Next, The Greatest Ever Carry On Films (10.05pm), with Windsor’s flying bra (Carry On Camping) and Kenneth Williams’ “Infamy!” gag (Carry On Cleo), once voted the funniest film one-liner. Finally, Cor, Blimey! (11.05pm), an adaptation of the award-winning stage play Cleo, Camping, Emmanuelle And Dick which tells the story of Windsor’s love affair with Sid James.
