Sky News issues King Charles news alert - Donald Trump will not be happy
How long until Trump says something in response?

Sky News captured an incredibly awkward moment when King Charles III appeared to find himself in a toe-curlingly cringe encounter with Rod Stewart. The rocker and long-time hater of the American president praised him for supposedly putting "little ratbag" Donald Trump "in his place" during the monarch’s recent trip to America.
The moment was highlighted in a news alert by the news channel, after the King and Queen Camilla attended celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of The King's Trust at the Royal Albert Hall.
During a conversation with the King, Stewart referenced Charles’s recent US visit, during which the monarch addressed Congress at events marking the 250th anniversary of American independence.

The singer told King Charles: "May I say, well done in the Americas. You were superb, absolutely superb, put that little ratbag in his place."
The King’s response was difficult to hear, although he later appeared to say "yes exactly", prompting Stewart to reply: "It went right over his head."
Charles’s speech during the US trip attracted significant attention after he touched on the sensitive relationship between Britain and America and defended the importance of NATO and support for Ukraine.
The King also drew laughter during the address when he responded to Trump’s previous claim that without American intervention in World War Two, Europeans would now be speaking "German and a little bit of Japanese".

Charles joked: "You recently stated, Mr President, that without the United States, European countries would speak German. Dare I say that without us, you would speak French?"
The speech reportedly received a standing ovation from the audience.
Following the trip, the King and Queen shared a message thanking Americans for their hospitality.
They wrote: "Farewell and thank you for the warmth of your welcome and the kind support you gave us throughout our first visit to the US as King and Queen, in this, your special anniversary year.
"We leave a piece of our heart behind and take a little of yours back home with us. Until the next time… God Bless America."

Rod Stewart has previously been openly critical of Trump, especially following comments the US President allegedly made about members of the armed forces.
In a video shared online, Stewart said: “I was born just after the war and have great respect for our armed forces that fought and gave us our freedom.
“So it hurts me badly, deeply, when I read that the draft dodger Trump has criticised our troops in Afghanistan.”
He added: “Please make the draft dodger Trump apologise.”
