The harrowing 3-word discovery in Jimmy Savile's 'house of horrors' found by explorer
The explorer looked through the "ruins" of Savile's home.

Jimmy Savile's Highland cottage was demolished just last month, two years after plans for its demolition were put in place, but an Urban Explorer had previously gone inside the home to have a look around the derelict location which had been covered in graffiti with profanities sprayed all over the building. The YouTube account Exploring with Mikey looked into the home with his camera as he toured the building that was still standing 15 years after his death. Some of the things seen in the home were eerie, as well as one chilling discovery in the outbuilding.
As he opened up the filming, Mikey said: "I'm not promoting him, he's an animal for what he done, but I'm showing the history of the house," he then panned to the obscene words written on the wall before heading into the bathroom and added: "This is Jimmy Savile's old house. That right there is the bath Jimmy Savile used to bath in, the absolute animal. This place is in absolute ruins now."

The footage, which was filmed in 2024, was documented before demolition work started but after it had been agreed, with him continuing: "It’s in the process of getting demolished, what a location though, you cannot beat this location. Absolutely stunning place."
However, when he headed to the outbuilding that's where things took a chilling turn as there was what appeared to be a guest house with a bed and then a small door. Mikey said to viewers: "Check out that small door. Small door for small people. Not nice." Savile was exposed after his death as one of the UK's most prolific sexual abusers, with at least 214 sexual offences, including 24 rapes, against victims aged 5 to 75 revealed over a 54-year period. His abuse stretched from the 1960s to 2010.
People had clearly made their way into his home to write words like 'pedo' 'nonce', and 'beast' across the walls, while also seemingly smashing up aspects of his home.

The cottage was properly demolished in March 2026 after being damaged in a fire and repeatedly vandalised as details of his abuse emerged following his death in 2011. Work to bulldoze the cottage started in March last year but it was unable to be completed until a building warrant and other approvals were issued by the Highland Council. A new home will be built on the site.
A spokesperson for the owner, Scottish entrepreneur Harris Aslam, confirmed the demolition had been completed. He said: "Set against the backdrop of Glen Coe and the Three Sisters, this is an area of extraordinary natural beauty.
"We will commence construction on a prestigious home of exceptional quality that is reflective of the landscape in which it sits. Our focus is firmly on the future - one defined by respect, quality, and a strong sense of place."
