The winter ITV reality show has already got off to a rocky start as old feuds resurface, and last-minute changes are made.

This year’s lineup includes Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley, Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp, Jack Osbourne, comedian Ruby Wax, reality TV star Vogue Williams, Kelly Brook, and rapper Aitch. Also joining the camp are social media star Angry Ginge, EastEnders star Shona McGarty, comedian Eddie Kadi, football star Alex Scott, and Celebs Go Dating receptionist Tom Read Wilson.
Loveable hosts Ant and Dec will be back in the Australian jungle as they welcome a whole new lineup of celebrity campmates. The stars will leave their creature comforts behind as they settle into the Australian jungle, where they will undertake Bushtucker Trials to secure stars that will bag additional food and treats for the group.
Last year’s series saw McFly star Danny Jones crowned as the new King of the Jungle, usurping previous winner Sam Thompson. But the ITV reality show has already faced its fair share of struggles ahead of the star-studded series, which is set to launch this Sunday (November 16). Let’s look inside the unexpected chaos that has already unfolded before the cameras start rolling.
YouTuber Angry Ginge has confessed that he has already broken one huge I’m A Celeb show rule before even setting foot in the New South Wales jungle. The 23-year-old Salford native, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, is already causing havoc.
After landing in Brisbane, the influencer told The Sun that he had already been in touch with at least three other show stars, who are not supposed to do so before meeting on the launch show.
He told the outlet: “You won’t actually believe why I’m here. I got a random phone call last night off Kelly Brook saying she’s coming to visit her auntie Sheila, do I want to join her? So I said, ‘I might as well’.
“Then Lisa Riley rings me and says she’s doing Dingles Down Under, do I want to join her? I said, ‘I might as well’. Then Aitch said he’s going on tour, so I said I’ll join him as well. And then Aitch’s mum rings me and says, ‘I’ve got two weeks in Australia I’ve just won off Postcode Lottery, do I want to join her?’ and I said, ‘I might as well’.”
Angry Ginge found fame as a gaming streamer, boasting a huge 1.2 million followers on Twitch. He has previously represented England in Soccer Aid, even scooping up the Man of the Match accolade, and is an avid fan of Manchester United.

The glamorous campmates could face a turbulent start to the show as stormy weather is predicted for the weekend. The programme is shot in Springbrook National Park in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, with the actual television show campsite situated in Dungay Creek.
Weather experts are predicting “thundery showers and a gentle breeze” in the region on Saturday (November 15). Downpours are expected to continue over the weekend before the sun breaks on Monday morning (November 17).
Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology issued a similar report for the forecast of New South Wales, stating: “A ridge of high pressure extends across the state. Later in the week, an inland low-pressure system and its associated trough look set to enter the state’s west before moving across the state during the weekend, bringing wet conditions.”
The show has had its fair share of weather woes in the past. In 2021, I’m A Celebrity was forced to cancel an episode after Storm Arwen wreaked havoc on set. The show had relocated from its usual Australian location to Gwrych Castle in North Wales, UK, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, when the storm hit.
The celebs were evacuated from the camp for safety reasons, and the show was temporarily taken off air until it was safe to resume filming.

Days before the show kicks off, ITV bosses have announced that I’m A Celeb viewers will no longer be able to vote for a contestant to do three or more Bushtucker Trials in a row.
Show bosses announced the rule change for the upcoming series, which states that stars can only do a maximum of two trials consecutively. If they are voted for in two consecutive challenges, then they will be exempt from the next trial vote.
The system will then reset, allowing stars to be voted for in a further two Trials afterwards. A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Celebrities all want the opportunity to take on a Bushtucker Trial and bring home stars for camp.
Viewers would much prefer to see different celebrities takes on the iconic Bushtucker Trials as opposed to the same person every day. This is a great move for fans of the show, so we don’t see the same faces doing the trials, as well as uncovering new favourites.”
It is understood that this will be a welcome change for this year’s celebs, as the insider added: “It’s a win-win for the celebs too, who are keen for more chances to get their personalities across.”

This Morning’s Nick Ferrari reportedly threw the show into chaos after he pulled out of this year’s series of I’m A Celeb at the last minute. The 66-year-old broadcaster sat down with ITV bosses before his bosses at LBC allegedly intervened to stop him from jetting off down under.
According to reports, the radio station offered to match any fee Nick had been offered by I’m A Celeb bosses in order to keep him on the UK station. In addition to hosting the early morning LBC show since 2004, Nick also makes regular appearances on This Morning.
A source told The Sun: “[Radio bosses] pledged to match any fee he was set to receive as they consider him such a vital and well-loved part of the LBC schedule. Ultimately, Global was able to flex its financial muscles and managed to keep their man.
“If he had signed up, he would have been off air for up to six weeks, which they were keen not to happen. Nick is really well liked by those working on LBC, and everyone thinks he has played a blinder by getting a pay rise out of it.”
It comes after Kelly Brook was seen arriving at Heathrow Airport as she prepared to fly out to Australia for her unexpected stint on I’m A Celeb. The model announced the exciting news live on air to her Heart Drive listeners.
As the I’m A Celeb theme tune blasted through the studio, Kelly excitedly confirmed: “I am [doing it]. I’m a massive fan of the show, I just thought, ‘You know what, it’s not or never...’ I’m doing it, babes!”
She also claimed the whole decision was a quick turnaround, adding: “I didn’t have a lot of time! I think someone dropped out, and they called me. Honestly, this has been so last-minute... They’ve never even asked me to ever do it. The minute they asked me, and I went, ‘Yep, I’ll do it. I’ll do it!’”
Kelly added that she wants “an adventure” and is hoping for a great line-up of campmates, telling listeners: “I just really want your support, and I just want you to vote for me!”
