The Fortune Hotel viewers said the same thing after spotting a major show "blunder" on Thursday (August 7).

The ITV show, hosted by Stephen Mangan, has returned for its second series, introducing 22 new contestants who arrive at the hotel in pairs.

Each pair is given a mysterious briefcase. Most are empty, but one contains a life-changing £250,000 in cash, while another holds the dreaded early checkout card.

The new season has already seen several unexpected events, including one pair being sent home before they even entered the hotel.

In tonight's episode, father-and-son team, Atholl and John, were the second pair to be eliminated after receiving a suitcase with the early checkout card, reports the Mirror.

After the first Lady Luck Bar, partners Fred and Min ended up with the jackpot suitcase after Jake and Mike swapped with them.

Later, the contestants participated in a challenge to determine the crucial case swapping order for the next Lady Luck Bar.

They arrived at the beach, where they found an assortment of puzzle pieces and treasure chests.

"Today's challenge is a jigsaw puzzle, which doesn't sound that difficult, except the pieces are floating out at sea," host Stephen clarified.

The contestants had to collaborate to solve the jigsaw. Once completed, the jigsaw would disclose a riddle that would assist them in opening a chest.

Each chest held a number, which would establish their position in the order swap.

Fred and Min were the last duo to reach a chest, which surprisingly contained the number one - indicating that they'd be the last to exchange their case.

"We won coming last!" an astonished Min exclaimed, with their rivals dubbing them the "flukiest partnership".

"Fred and Min, are you blundering your way to the fortune?" Stephen then queried.

The programme's viewers were equally amazed at Fred and Min's good fortune, with many expressing their thoughts on X (formerly Twitter).

"How are Fred and Min getting the advantages every time?! Wild," one individual posted, with another chiming in: "Fred and Min really are a prime example at how your luck can really turn around haha."

A third commented: "Fred and Min: fake it until you make it motto!!!" with another similarly posting: "How are Fred and Min the Merciless doing it?"

However, their lucky streak might be nearing its end as several pairs seemed to have deduced that they hold the fortune.
