A sensational drama recounting the tumultuous early days of Baywatch sensation Pamela Anderson has just been unleashed for free viewing.
The series, lauded by critics, sparked a furore over its portrayal of one of the most contentious celebrity sagas of the '90s, drawing ire from Anderson who has boycotted the show.
With Anderson set to dazzle alongside Liam Neeson in the eagerly anticipated Naked Gun reboot hitting screens next week, it's an opportune moment for devotees to revisit her ascent to fame.
Disney+ has struck a deal making the eight-episode saga Pam and Tommy accessible at no cost on ITVX, where viewers can also binge on a selection of other Disney+ offerings.
The series delves into Anderson's whirlwind three-year union with Mötley Crüe's Tommy Lee (portrayed by Sebastian Stan), spotlighting her status as a sex symbol amidst the chaos of their private honeymoon footage being unlawfully leaked across the US, reports the Mirror.

Despite critical praise, especially for the portrayals by Stan and Lily James, Anderson confided to Variety her decision to shun the series, insisting on "a public apology" from its creators.
"It was shocking," she conceded. "Tommy probably thought it was funny.
"I remember Tommy writing me a note saying, 'Don't let this hurt you like it did the first time,' because he had heard through the kids that I was kind of struggling with the idea of bringing this all up again.
"I don't think he was portrayed kindly. I just know that I refuse to watch it."
Despite the backlash, television enthusiasts maintain the series offers compelling viewing amid the furore.

One glowing five-star Google review declared: "When I first heard they were doing this I was skeptical but I Binged watched it twice!!
"It was Very Thought Provoking actually Quirky, upbeat, funny, emotional, dark and very well paced. All the characters were cast very well."
Another viewer championed the programme's intentions: "Even though this is not endorsed by PA herself as she feels this just victimizes her again and takes away her ability to tell her story, I really think the producers did a fair job in showing just how unjustly she was treated at the time.
"Although some of the events are not quite in order, timeline wise, it still shows how objectified she was at the time, and thus demoralized and dehumanized - and sadly how many famous women today are still treated this way!!!
"This was a cautionary tale of how some things still haven't changed."

A further comment noted: "It's a shame Pam Anderson hated the series. If anything I think this series painted her as the only sympathetic character.
"In hindsight of #MeToo and women telling their stories, the fact that she went through any of this is shocking."
