Jason Bateman humiliated live on Fox News in Trump blow: 'Shut your pretty mouth'

Jason Bateman has come under fire from Fox News stars after he critiqued supporters of US president Donald Trump, branding them “insulated from the facts and common sense”. The Ozark star, 56, has been targeted by Kennedy – real name Lisa Kennedy Montgomery – on Fox, as she told him to “shut your pretty mouth”.

Bateman originally dropped the comments about GOP supporters on The Best People with Nicole Wallace in June 2025, explaining: “I really am fascinated. I can’t stop watching and marry that to the fact that there are 80 some million people that would vote again for him tomorrow.”

Speaking on Fox, Kennedy slammed the actor: “I just want to say, Jason, Jason, you’re an actor. Okay? Thank you so much, dear, now go ahead and shut your pretty mouth until someone writes someone writes some words and then you can open your mouth and say someone else’s words. Until then, shhh.”

Greg Gutfeld added that Jason should be “talking about his sister”, Justine, who has come out in support of Trump after his election win against Democrat Kamala Harris.

Gutfeld said on Fox’s The Five: “He should be talking about his sister, Justine Bateman, who has emerged as the clear-eyed, clear-thinking sibling in this family, a defender of common sense and understands the Trump voter

“She understands there are other people out there. Talk to your damn sister. She could straighten you out in 90 minutes. My guess is that when he sees his sister on X, he thinks, ‘Oh, she’s operating in a bubble, she doesn’t know what’s going on. No, she actually lived in the bubble you’re living in and she broke out of it.”

He branded Jason a “moron”, while former White House press secretary Dana Perino asked: “Who was the most insulated last year? It was Joe Biden. So they don’t know why 80 million people would have voted against him? You’re the insulated one.”

Paul Mauro went on to fue: “OK, Hollywood, we don’t care, we don’t care what you think, all right? Perform, entertain us. That’s it. Juggle, tell a joke, do a back flip, do some damn thing.

“We don’t care about your political opinions and the idea that an actor, a guy who won the genetic lottery because he’s good looking and then memorises his lines or reads off a teleprompter and then goes and pretends to be someone else. I mean, that’s his job. only an idiot would read off a teleprompter.”

Perino was left tense at that comment as she said: “I read off a teleprompter as myself,” but Mauro snapped: “We don’t care. Move on and that’s it.”
