Eamonn Holmes in tense GB News clash as brutal Prince Archie remark leaves them stunned
Eamonn Holmes left his co-star Ellie Costello stunned as he said he "didn't care" about Prince Archie as he turns six on May 6.
GB News presenter Eamonn Holmes left Ellie Costello saying "he's just a child!" as he insisted he didn't care about new pictures of Prince Archie. As the show aired a picture of Archie with his dad Prince Harry and sister Lilibet, Eamonn ranted: "Tell you what I don't understand, this Prince Archie, he belongs to the Sussexes, the ones who live in America... Why does anyone care, he's 6 today."
He continued: "They don't show him anywhere, and you see the back of his head, and then today they release a picture, and he is 6, I don't care, I just don't care. What people in this land cares what he looks like, he is six, why bother? why are we bothering?" An uncomfortable Ellie responded: "Well he is six years old, so we will just say happy birthday to you."
Eamonn turned to her and said: "That sort of falseness, pretending you care, why don't you just say I don't care?"
Ellie responded: "But he is just six," as Paul Coyte chimed in: "She's not saying happy birthhday to you, if Ellie wants to say happy birthday..." as Eamonn hit back: "Who asked you?" Paul laughed as he replied: "Well no, now I am stepping in, I'm not standing for this."
Eamonn continued his tirade as he asked: "Why are we supposed to be excited about this picture?" Ending the conversation, Ellie said: "Anyway happy birthday prince Archie," as the segment quickly moved on.
Prince Archie will be celebrating his sixth birthday with his mother Meghan Markle and his sister Princess Lilibet in their home in Montecito.
Prince Harry will be missing his son's birthday as he has travelled to Las Vegas to help launch a new youth initiative in collaboration with The Legacy Award, which honours his late mother Princess Diana.
This will be the second time Prince Harry has missed Archie's birthday in the last three years due to his busy schedule. Back in2023l, he was forced to miss Archie's fourth birthday due to being at King Charles's Coronation. He flew from Los Angeles to London for the celebration, but managed to make it back to the US for the last hours of the special day.
