GB News discusses Prince Harry's visa application

A United States court recently ruled and confirmed that Prince Harry's visa files must be made public by Tuesday following an investigation into his immigration paperwork. Although the probe was concluded in September, this new setback for the Royal comes after Judge Carl Nichols ordered the release of redacted immigration records amid claims that the Duke of Sussex lied about his past drug use.

Discussing this on GB News, presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ellie Costello were joined by royal commentator Helena Chard, who confessed: "We're absolutely waiting for it. Yes, he admitted he took cannabis, cocaine and magic mushrooms as we know in Spare and also the Netflix series, he said that. There's been so much talked about it and Judge Carl Nichols originally said he refused to release any footage basically because of Prince Harry's privacy. "As we know, Trump, Border Security and application of rule is one of his priorities", as she added: "I do see Harry as a pawn for Trump," as she continued: "And he's collateral, so everyone's waiting to see what happens."

Helena continued: "Tuesday's the day, D-Day. Apparently, there’s four documents and three of the documents are going to be released so we're all waiting to hear has he entered the country illegally, did he lie on his visa form?

"What we do know is the Heritage Foundation Nile Gardiner has really been pushing this forward, he’s the Tory think tank. He really feels that there is some dodgy dealing going on.

"We don't know whether Prince Harry is quaking in his boots, but he quit being a working royal. Did he get preferential treatment, we don't know."

The commentator added: "There is possible misconduct and apparently DHS says that releasing the paperwork won't shed any light on the way things work, but there are thoughts as well that he could have entered on a special visa.

"This is an A1 visa, that deals with immigration paperwork and its a special kind of visa for heads of state and royal people, so Prince Harry could have got through on that, but we're waiting to hear on its D-Day tomorrow."

The Duke of Sussex first opened up about his past drug use in his bombshell memior Spare released in January 2023, and made claims about his recreational use of cocaine, magic mushrooms and marijuana, as well as psychedelics such as ayahuasca, as a form of therapy.

After these revelations, the think tank claimed drug use should have disqualified the Duke from getting a US visa. It has since been trying to find out whether he lied or received a special waiver from former US President Joe Biden's administration.

US immigration laws state any foreigner "determined to be a drug abuser" is classed as "inadmissible". However, officials are afforded discretion to waive the rule.
