Fiona Bruce halts Question Time as she says 'hang on a minute' to grill Labour MP over NHS
Question Time host Fiona Bruce demanded that the panellist "hang on a minute" as she questioned her over jobs within NHS England.

Fiona Bruce dramatically halted Question Time this evening on BBC as she urged a panellist to "hang on a minute" over her views on the NHS. Joining the host on the panel were Emma Reynolds, Luke Evans, Wendy Chamberlain, Faiza Shaheen, and Konstantin Kisin.
One of the audience members asked the panel if the abolition of NHS England would improve patient care. Conservative's Luke Evans began to answer the question as he said that staff in the NHS had to have some crossover adding: "The worry is, with those job losses, where is that talent going and where is that experience going? That's going to help try and solve the problem."

Labour's Emma Reynolds cut in as she said: "You've got to get those people back on the front line, don't they." Fiona threw out her hands, signalling for things to come to a halt - seemingly in disbelief.
She demanded: "Hang on a minute! Hang on... Just so that we are clear. In NHS England, of the 9,000 jobs the vast majority are not going to be people that you put back on the front line, are they?"
The Labour politician began to speak over the BBC host, but Fiona defiantly continued as she said: "They'll be in the line to the unemployment office, surely?"

Ms Reynolds explained her earlier point as she said: "If there are clinicians who are double hatting we want to make sure that we are putting more of the investment into the NHS." She added that there was a pot of £22 billion to invest into improving patient care.
However, fans at home were not pleased with Fiona's presenting skills. Posting to X/Twitter, one fan fumed: "10 mins in with #bbcqt & shock, horror ([eyeroll emoji]) Fiona Bruce is the one who has done most of the talking."
Another added: "You're supposed to be impartial Bruce. #bbcqt," while a third shared: "The constant interruptions by Fiona Bruce are infuriating and beyond frustrating. She has made the programme unwatchable."
