The iconic flat from Only Fools and Horses was a central feature of the beloved show, but you might be shocked at its current value.

This cherished BBC sitcom, starring Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst became a hit when it first aired in 1981 and ran for 22 years. One of the show's most memorable aspects was the Trotters’ home, which served as a backdrop for Del Boy and Rodney's hilarious antics.

The flat, set on a Peckham council estate, was brought to life by the actual tower block known as Nelson Mandela House, located in Acton, Ealing, West London.

At one point, the three-bedroom flat housed up to six members of the Trotter clan, including Uncle Albert, who moved in after Grandad's death. Today, this tower remains in use.

However, with today’s prices, Del Boy would need a small fortune to afford his home. Foxtons estate agents have valued a comparable three-bedroom property in the area at a staggering £593,706.

Depending on the specific property, sales can range anywhere from £300,000 to £1,300,000. This is despite the reported condition of the flat, as a resident previously complained of the mould, telling The Sun: "My house is full of damp and mould. My children, especially my little one, became ill and has asthma.

“I’ve got black mould and the bathroom is leaking water and wastage but when I’ve called the council, they say I have to fix and pay for it myself."

However, the real-life actor behind Del Boy, David Jason, couldn’t be more different.

The star is reportedly earning millions in his career, Last year, it was revealed that his company, Peglington Productions, had £803,108 in cash and assets in 2022.

In a recent interview, the 84-year-old actor opened up about a scene from the show that made him cry. According to David, if he could “only keep one” episode, it would be the 1989 special, The Jolly Boys’ Outing. He reflected on the “sheer fun” of that episode and shared his thoughts on his late co-star John Challis, stating it captured “a world that’s gone.”

He emotionally told The Sun: “The magic of Only Fools is compressed into this single sequence – the gang of friends that the cast had become, and the sheer fun of it all. And so many of those faces are no longer with us, of course.”
