Emmerdale: Kim Tate is Will Taylor's blackmailer

Emmerdale enthusiasts are abuzz with speculation that Kim Tate, portrayed by Claire King, might find new love after her split from the cheating Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).

In a dramatic scene last week, Kim, the formidable owner of Home Farm, ordered Will to excavate his own grave following the revelation of his affair with his ex-wife Rose (Christina Tremarco). Despite Will's fervent appeals, Kim was unyielding and demanded he vacate the premises.

The power dynamics shifted at Home Farm when Will defied Kim by refusing to sign papers that would have reinstated her control over her business empire.

"I have given you everything," an enraged Kim told Will. "I have done things for you that would keep most people awake at night."

"And in return you have lied, cheated, you have stolen. You can sit there as long as you like listing every mistake that I have ever done, but I have never once betrayed you," reports Leeds Live.

She added: "Nothing matters anymore, we are done and we both know it."

As she pushed the documents towards Will for his signature, he defiantly declared, "No!" before walking away. Things have been hostile for the couple ever since, with Kim insisting they get a divorce.

The estranged couple has been relentlessly trying to one-up each other, with Kim even consulting a lawyer, fearing that Will might attempt to strip her of everything.

Yet, in a twist during Tuesday's episode, Kim spent the night with her legal advisor, seizing the opportunity to flaunt the encounter in Will's face.

"Is this you getting your own back?" queried Will, to which Kim retorted: "Oh please as if I am that petty. Anyway, you were the one that cheated."

"Yeah once," Will conceded. "But I didn't go back for an action replay, did I?"

Kim fired back with a chuckle: "Yeah, well you never were a twice-a-night man," prompting Will to demand: "I want him gone."

Defiantly, the Home Farm owner stated: "Well, I want him to stay so either put up or shut up."

In a shocking twist of events at the Home Farm, Kim's fling defended her honour with a punch directed at Will following his insult towards Kim.

Meanwhile, away from the tensions at Home Farm, Will has been scheming with an unexpected ally, Caleb Milligan (portrayed by Will Ash), even going far as to sell his haulage firm shares to cover his spiralling legal costs in the divorce battle against Kim.

Despite the open animosity between Caleb and Kim, avid watchers are buzzing with speculation that these two might just hit it off in an unexpected romantic twist. In a debate on a dedicated Facebook fan forum for the show, one viewer suggested: "Why am I really thinking Ruby will end up splitting up with Caleb and Caleb will get with Kim?"

Comments abounded, with another adding light-heartedly that Caleb was "far too short for Kim" A different fan vouched: "I could totally see that."

One ardent follower went so far as to envision an entirely new romantic angle for Kim involving GP Liam Cavanagh (played by Johnn McPherson), posting on X: "Liam and Kim next lol."

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
