Coronation Street fans make ‘sick’ discovery as Cassie’s plan for Ken Barlow ‘exposed’
Coronation Street's Ken is sitting on thousands of pounds at the moment - and fans reckon Cassie has a rather sinister plan to her hands on his cash.

Coronation Street fans have shared their disgust over Cassie Plummer’s plan for Ken Barlow.
Cassie (Claire Sweeney) rocked up to the cobbles in 2023 as the estranged mum of Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall). And it didn’t take long for her to become a firm-favourite, and in involved in some drama.
Over in the soap recently, Ken Barlow (William Roache) suffered a nasty fall, which resulted in him needing a carer for his injuries.
The cost of a professional carer proved too steep for the Barlow family, so they recruited Cassie Plummer despite lacking formal qualifications.
Since then, Ken and Cassie have become good pals. Ken has taken a shine to her, and Cassie is clearly enjoying her time working for him.
However, last month, Cassie overheard that Ken had won £50k from premium bonds. Ken then shared the news with her himself - leaving Cassie delighted.
She then persuaded him to use some of his cash on a luxury holiday abroad, and suggested someone could go with him. And she soon put her name down for consideration.
Now, with Cassie knowing Ken is sitting on tens of thousands of pounds, viewers have ‘worked out’ what plan she has up her sleeve for Ken - and it’s not looking good.

On X, one person said: “Ken, use your brain, Cassie has money on her mind...and wants it in her bank.” Someone else added: “Ffs Ken wake up! the only person Cassie wants Ken to give his money to is HER!” A third chimed in and proclaimed: “Cassie definitely going to rip both Amy & Ken out of his money.”
What’s more, other viewers reckon Cassie and Ken’s relationship could blossom into romance, with one fan writing: “Ken is going to propose to Cassie.”
A second person penned: “Ken fancies Heroin Cassie.” A third agreed: “Ken and Cassie to get together? How gross!” Another fan said: “Evelyn as Ken's latest mother-in-law? At last, a worthy successor to Blanche.”
