BBC Breakfast presenter Nina Warhust has cheekily likened her co-star Sarah Keith-Lucas' outfit to Gordon Ramsay's bruised body after she updated viewers about his near-death bike accident today. The 57-year-old chef told fans he is "lucky to be alive" after coming off of his bike in Connecticut on Saturday, which has left him with a heavily bruised midriff and ribs.

Gordon stressed in a video shared with fans that if he hadn't had his helmet on, he "wouldn't be here now" as he passionately reminded people just how life-saving they can be. After a VT of Gordon's video was shown to viewers, Nina said seeing the chef's bruised body made her "wince" to which Ben Boulos added: "It looks so painful."

As they then handed over to Sarah, who opted for a navy top and purple skirt to present the latest weather forecast, Nina likened her purple skirt to Gordon's bruise. She jokingly said: "Sarah joins us for the weather now, with a skirt to match Gordon Ramsay's bruise."

In response, the meteorologist said: "Absolutely, it looked horrific didn't it, poor Gordon," and went on to share details about the not-so-pleasant weather nationwide. Unimpressed with what she just heard, Nina replied: "Thank you Sarah, it's not getting any better is it?"

Later on in the show, Sarah said despite the disappointing lack of nice weather so far in many parts across the UK, she had seen an improvement for today and the next coming days. After Nina expressed her enthusiasm to watch tonight's England game in the garden however, Sarah advised her to put up a gazebo just in case.
