As the first three episodes of The Boys season 4 drop on Amazon Prime video today, six new characters will appear in Eric Kripke’s satirical superhero show.

However, some of those faces might be quite familiar - especially if you’re a fan of Kripke’s other cult show, Supernatural. You may also recognise stars from huge properties like Netflix show Orange is the New Black, teen drama Veronica Mars and Hollywood hit La La Land.

Two of the biggest new stars to join the show include Susan Heyward, who will play Detroit-born Supe Sister Sage, and Valorie Curry, who will portray another Supe from Florida named Firecracker.

Both Supes are set to join the notorious Seven, as its maniacal leader Homelander spirals further out of control.

But who else is joining the cast of The Boys this season? And where might you have seen them before? Express.co.uk takes a look at all eight of the brand-new additions.

Susan Heyward

Susan Heyward

Susan Heyward’s role in The Boys has already been announced as Sister Sage, who is set to join The Seven.

The actress is probably best known for portraying Tamika Ward in the Netflix comedy-drama series Orange Is the New Black between 2018 and 2019.

She also starred in the 2015 PlayStation Network original series Powers and the 2016 HBO period drama Vinyl.

From 2018 to 2019, she made a name for herself on Broadway when she played Rose Granger-Weasley in the US production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Valorie Curry as Firecracker in The Boys

Valorie Curry has been announced as The Seven’s latest member, Firecracker, who hails from Daytona Beach, Florida.

Many eagle-eyed Veronica Mars fans might recognise her for playing Wallace’s ex-girlfriend Jane Kuhne in six episodes of the show.

Her other credits include 2013’s The Following, 2016’s The Tick and 2012 film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, where she played Charlotte.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s role in The Boys is yet to be officially confirmed, but judging from the trailers, it looks like he’ll be spending a lot of time with Billy Butcher (Karl Urban).

The actor has played some of modern American television’s most memorable characters, Negan Smith in the AMC horror drama series The Walking Dead.

He received critical acclaim for the role, which he held from 2016 to 2022, before moving on to reprise it in 2023’s spin-off series The Walking Dead: Dead City.

He also famously played the father of Sam and Dean Winchester, John Winchester, in the CW’s Supernatural.

His other well-known roles include Denny Duquette in the ABC medical drama series Grey's Anatomy, Jason Crouse in the CBS political drama series The Good Wife and the Comedian in the superhero film Watchmen.

Rob Benedict

Rob Benedict is yet another Supernatural alum to join The Boys cast alongside his co-star Jeffrey.

Jensen Ackles, who portrayed leading character Dean Winchester for all 15 seasons of the hit CW show, joined The Boys as Homelander’s predecessor Soldier Boy last season.

Jim Beaver, who played fan favourite character Bobby Singer on Supernatural, will also have a significant role this season as his character Secretary of Defense Robert A. Singer (a direct reference to Supernatural) runs for president alongside villainous Supe Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit).

Rob appeared in multiple series of Supernatural as Chuck Shurley, with his role proving to grow more significantly over time.

He also recurred as baddie Vincent LeMec on popular TV show Lucifer and as Sydney Bristow's short CIA partner, Brodien on Alias.

The star, who is also the lead singer for LA band Louden Swain, has also appeared in Birds of Prey, NCIS, CSI and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
