The Chase: Bradley confused over Danny Jones' favourite single

ITV fans threatened to "switch off" over a repeat celebrity special of The Chase. During Monday's edition of the iconic quiz show, four famous faces took on Mark "The Beast" Labbett in order to win some cash for Soccer Aid.

The four celebrities included Danny Jones, Martin Bell, Sarah Jane Mee and Michael Sheen who took on The Chaser. However, fans were less than impressed with their quiz skills and complained on social media over how "painful" the show was.

The first contestant, Danny, was quickly caught and eliminated after failing to answer enough question correctly. One fan moaned on X: "This is painful to watch, are these people really this stupid? #thechase."

A second person also chimed in: "Well, that's me switching off. Good heavens. Embarrassing. #TheChase." A third person complained: "WHAT IS THIS TEAM HONEST TO GOD #thechase."

After Danny's elimination, another fan said: "@michaelsheen and @skysarahjane have got a lot of heavy lifting to do #thechase." Martin Bell managed to get through with £500 and Sarah Jane Mee also got through to the final.

Meanwhile, Hollywood legend Michael Sheen managed to boost the jackpot to £72,500 after he gave an impressive performance. All three managed to guess 21 questions correctly.

During the final chase, it was nail-biting as Mark tried to catch up with the Chasers but got pushed back after getting a question wrong.

Despite the fantastic target, he managed to catch up and the team walked away with no cash prize, saying that "it was his day today".

In recent news, Mark suffered heartbreak as he split from his year-long girlfriend Hayley Palmer. The pair confirmed their split on social media just weeks after celebrating their one-year anniversary.

Hayley stated on Instagram: "It is with regret I announce that myself and Mark have gone our separate ways. We had the best year together, and I truly wish him all the very best for the future."

A source told The Sun: “Mark had a lovely time with Hayley and has a lot of respect for her but they wanted different things. She loves getting dressed up and going out to parties and showbiz events, whereas he prefers to stay at home.

“Mark felt there was too much of an age gap between them for long-term success. They are still friendly.

“Away from his job on telly and filming, Mark enjoys a quiet life and spending time with his son. He is still hopeful he can meet someone to settle down with one day.”
