GMB: Alex Beresford does a Norwegian Press
Good Morning Britain's Alex Beresford showed off his fitness on Wednesday's (March 10) show to mixed reaction from viewers. The star demonstrated what he said was an "Nordic press" after encouragement from host Ed Balls and people took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to remark on it..
@JohnDoe29248490 opined: "What absolute tripe! We just need the guy to read the weather, is that so difficult?" @Gary_Smiler enjoyed the segment gushing: "I might start getting up early every morning if they're going to start showing pics of Alex in the gym. That was a great time to turn the TV on #gmb."
Meanwhile @bigmac_billy claimed: "That is nothing like what the guy in America did. He just bent forward. The other guy went down without bending at the waist. Not even close."
The poster was referring to the video which inspired the challenge. They had shown a clip of tech entrepreneur Bryan Johnson who is spending millions trying to reverse the ageing process, doing the move as part of a report by their US correspondent Noel Phillips.

Seemingly Alex claimed he could do that and Ed Balls decided to challenge him on it.
Explaining that he had a picture of him doing a similar move at the gym, it was pointed out that he wasn't horizontal.
However, Alex claimed that what he was doing was a more difficult version of the exercise whereby you push yourself out and then pull your body back in.
As Ed badgered him to show them, Alex queried how he would manage it in the studio.

When they returned from commercial break it appeared that Ed had found a solution.
Co-host Kate Garraway announced: "Ed's disappeared. He's got Alex pinned down, trying to do this Nordic hamstring curl.
As the camera cut across the studio viewers saw Alex kneeling on cushions on the floor as Ed held his legs down.
He then attempted the move live on air impressing Kate who said: "Alex that is incredible."
Good Morning Britain is on ITV weekdays at 6am.
