The Assembly: Michael Sheen stars in BBC trailer
Michael Sheen has given a rare insight into his relationship with his girlfriend Anna Lundberg, with whom he shares two children. The actor, 55, appeared on BBC's The Assembly where he was quizzed about their age 25-year-age gap.
The Welsh star addressed questions on the special, which aired in conjunction with Autism Awareness Week. He sat in front of a panel of 35 neurodivergent people who fired a string of questions at him.
However, some of them did not hold back and were very direct. One woman in particular decided to hit Michael with a very person question.
She probed the Good Omens star about his love life, asking: “How does it feel to be dating someone who is only five years older than your daughter?” She referred to his daughter Lily, 24, whom he shares with Hollywood star ex Kate Beckinsale.
Michael has been dating Anna, 30, since 2019 after they met while shooting Staged. Anna is a Swedish actress but moved across the pond with Michael when he decided to head back to his native Wales.

The couple now lives in Port Talbot, Wales, along with their two young kids after stepping away from Hollywood.
In response to the question about his relationship he was heard saying: “I think because of the age difference, I think both of us were quite surprised when we got together.”
He then admitted that, at the time, he felt both of them were not looking for a relationship.

“It's not like I've dated lots of people who are much younger than me, but you meet who you meet,” he said.
“We were very aware of what differences that might make and how they might respond to that."
The actor acknowledged that they were both “aware” of the challenges and difficulties they have faced but they have never looked back.
Gushing over their strong relationship, he confessed: “Ultimately, we felt it was worth it because of how we felt about each other.
“Now we have two beautiful children together. I'm really happy because of the age difference. I know I'm an older father. It does worry me. It makes me sad thinking about the time I won't have with them.
“But I think if you find someone who brings you happiness you make them happy. You've got to go for that I think and I'm so happy we did as we have this wonderful family now,” he added.
