Viewers slammed BBC producers after switching off during Monday’s instalment of Bargain Hunt. Fans branded the programme as a “mega repeat”.
The episode looked back at old footage from previous contestants. This left many people furious as they had already seen the clips with the contestants.
Taking a swipe at the show, some complained that not enough effort was being put into making new episodes of the popular BBC One show. This came after the news that the broadcasting agent was increasing the price of its TV licence.
Earlier this week it was announced that it would be going up from £159 a year to £169.50 a year from April 1. Viewers took to social media to express their disappointment in a string of scathing posts hitting out at the latest episode.
Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, one person wrote: “Yet another compilation episode of Bargain Hunt. Considering we are paying more for our TV licence when will we see some new programmes during the day instead of constant repeats?”

This came a month after Bargain Hunt’s most expensive item was announced last month.
During a nail-biting episode of viewers were left shocked at the staggering value of a yellow teapot that nearly got tossed in the rubbish.
Over the years the show has managed to spot many incredible finds since March 2000 and bagged some amazing profits.
The show aired the weird and wonderful to the timeless and priceless, but one item that left jaws dropping was a bizarre Victorian relic.
The florescent teapot was nearly chucked away after it was originally categorised as bric-a-brac.
However, this unlikely item was one of the show's biggest prized items. It dates back to the 18th century and it was made in China being worth £390,000 after the last one of its kind went for that at auction.
Bargain Hunt airs on BBC One and Iplayer on weekdays at 12:15 pm.
