Strictly fans fume Eddie Kadi was 'robbed' after Zara McDermott survives dance off
Eddie Kadi and Karen Hauer were voted off Strictly Come Dancing after failing to impress the judges.
Eddie Kadi leaves Strictly Come Dancing
Strictly Come Dancing fans claimed that Eddie Kadi was “robbed” of his place on the show.
On Sunday evening, it was announced that Eddie, 40, has become the latest celebrity to exit the BBC competition after the judges opted to save Zara McDermott and her professional partner Graziano Di Primo.
However, not everyone agreed with the decision, with many claiming that the former Love Island star’s performance wasn’t as solid as Eddie and Karen Hauer’s.
One X (formerly Twitter) user wrote: “I’m so so so mad and disappointed in the result of Strictly dance off tonight.. what do you (sic) mean? Can’t believe that. There was no content to judge just poorly executed spins and twirls. Poor poor poor. #StrictlyComeDancing @bbcstrictly vex with you judges!” (sic)
“Eddie & Karen have been robbed !!! (sic) What on earth are the judges thinking?”, replied a second.
Another viewer said: “@EddieKadi is a total joy and a class act. He was robbed. We need more of Eddie not less right now #StrictlyComeDancing.”
Elsewhere, one X user took issue with Zara’s dance-off performance: “Gutted for Karen...Eddie was robbed. At least he actually danced...Zara was in the air for most of her routine. (Sic) Definitely wrong result.”
However, many viewers believed that the documentary maker deserved to dance another week after aceing her performance.
"@ZaraMcDermott @GrazianoDiPrima smashed their second performance tonight! #strictly," wrote one platform user.
A second said: "I would also have saved Zara & Graziano in that dance-off."
"I for one thought the right couple stayed in. Congrats Gratz & Zara," replied another.
Following the news that he would be heading home, Eddie told Strictly presenter Tess Daly that he has really “enjoyed” his time on the show.

After thanking Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood and Anton du Beke for being “incredible and so kind” the star gushed that he had a “whole new family”.
He said: " For me, I came into Strictly because it was something I always wanted to do - I loved dancing. But more importantly, I’ve had a career that’s gone up and down and this has been the highest moment of my career.”
He also went on to say that the main aim of his Strictly stint was to let his culture “shine” before praising Karen, 41, for being a “wonderful queen” who has shown him “so much love”.
As Eddie exits the programme, it means Zara will now dance her sixth of the series during next weekend’s Halloween Special.
Layton Williams and partner Nikita Kuzmin will be hoping to do one better next week after they received a near-perfect score of 39 points for their Salsa to ‘Quimbara’.
This is the first time a performance has received a mark this early on in the competition since the 2010 edition.
You can watch Strictly Come Dancing next Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One.
