The original show aired on ITV between 1992 and 2000 and was a prime time Saturday night hit.
The concept saw members of the public take on the super fit Gladiators in a series of gruelling physical challenges.
It was hosted by Ulrika Jonsson and former footballer John Fashanu.
Sky briefly revived the series between 2008 and 2009 when it was presented by Ian Wright and Kirsty Gallacher.
They were joined by John Anderson, the original referee, who was famed for saying: “Contender, ready! Gladiator, ready!”
