Good Morning Britain's Adil Ray emotional as he details racist abuse in heated MP debate
Good Morning Britain presenter Adil Ray didn't hold back in an emotional outburst regarding racist abuse he has received during a heated interview.
GMB: Adil Ray challenges minister over racist abuse on social media
Adil Ray was been interviewing transport secretary Mark Harper on Friday's Good Morning Britain when he addressed a personal issue regarding the Home Secretary Suella Braverman.
Earlier this month, Essex Police seized offensive dolls which had been displayed at the White Hart Inn in Grays.
The landlord was also accused of sharing racist posts on social media.
The force was reportedly criticised by Braverman, who indicated it had been a waste of police resources.
The GMB host referenced Braverman's comments as he explained he'd experienced a rise in racist abuse.

"The home secretary is trying, in the legislation that she's bringing forward, to deal with the small boats challenge, and she's trying to deal with breaking up organised crime gangs that traffic people, traffic vulnerable people, and put them in harm's way," Harper explained.
"Do you think it's right that she's inflamed racists and I'm getting all this racist abuse?" Ray asked after detailing being sent pictures of golliwogs following the incident.
He continued: "I wasn't getting it before two weeks ago, Mr Harper. I wasn't getting all these pictures of golliwogs, why am I getting them now?"

He added emotionally: "I was called golliwog at school - I was called that at school!
"I remember racist abuse at school and the home secretary saying that the police are wasting their time going round to a pub landlord and having a word with him for displaying them in his pub!
"Is that right? Would you do the same if you were home secretary?"
"So look, the bit you didn't let me finish was going to answer the second part of your question was clearly, if you're receiving abuse on social media that's clearly wrong," Harper answered.
He went on: "But the people responsible for any abuse you're receiving on social media are the people sending it to you.
"I don't think people should be sending you abuse on social media, I think people should debate things respectfully."
"But when somebody encourages them?" Ray stated passionately.
"If you've got somebody at the very top of government making those remarks, it empowers the racists, it empowers people to say those things, doesn't it?"
Ray continued to ask the MP to answer his question before explaining it upsets him that the politician wouldn't say more against the abuse he was receiving.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
