Robin van Persie deadline
ARSENE WENGER has set Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis a four-day window to sort out the future of Robin van Persie at the end of the season.
Van Persie has only 12 months left on his deal and has refused to open negotiations over a new contract.
With Manchester City and Real Madrid chasing Van Persie, Wenger wants his captain’s future decided before he joins up with Holland for the European Championships.
Robin’s future will be sorted at the end of the season
Arsenal play their last game of the Premier League season away at West Brom on May 13 and Van Persie is due at Holland’s Euro 2012 Swiss training camp on May 17.
Wenger is desperate to avoid a repeat of last summer, when the sales of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri ruined his plans.
“Robin’s future will be sorted at the end of the season,” he said.
“Before the Euros.”
