The Duchess and the war horse: Camilla gets more than she bargained for
CAMILLA, Duchess of Cornwall got more than she bargained for when she opened the King George VI Lines today.
The Duchess of Cornwall was left smiling after she was nudged by a horse's nose while trying to be serious in the ranks.
Camilla fed horses with polo mints as she arrived at The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery in Woolwich, London.
Used to horses, the Duchess of Cornwall was unfazed as she gave the horse a little telling off with her finger before giving it a friendly pat on the nose.
The Duchess posed for photographs and chatted with the troops for a couple of hours.
She was given a tour of the barracks and then later presented operational medals.
