Young Royals step in as Prince Philip recovers
WITH Prince Philip recovering from heart surgery, the Queen will look to her children for support as celebrations begin to mark her Diamond Jubilee this year.
Philip, 90, was back on his feet by New Year’s Day after surgeons at Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, fitted a coronary stent over Christmas. He will go to just two official events before March, and the couple’s four children will accompany the Queen at events planned to mark her jubilee.
A courtier said: “For once the Duke is accepting doctors’ orders. Everyone appreciates how serious a scare it was.”
