CLAY king Rafael Nadal is eyeing a record 18th Masters title after beating fellow Spaniard Nicolas Almagro 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 to reach the Madrid Masters final.
Second-seed Nadal dropped serve three times in the opening set, but rallied back for a win that puts him No.2 in the world rankings.
Nadal is 14-0 on clay this season, winning in Monte Carlo and Rome. He and Andre Agassi have 17 clay court titles, with Roger Federer on 16.
