Pakistani Taliban commander held
Police said they have arrested a senior Pakistani Taliban commander who led the militant group's network in Punjab, a key province where violence has been increasing.
Officials said that Khalil Ullah was the mastermind behind a market bombing in the provincial capital of Lahore on December 7 that killed 49 people.
More than 500 people have been killed in attacks since mid-October when the army launched a major offensive against the Pakistani Taliban's stronghold of South Waziristan in the north-west.
