Jaw-dropping encounter with monster in the deep: Incredible moment Great White LOOMS
THIS fearsome one-ton Great White shark is captured bearing down on a British photographer – with 300 razor-sharp teeth. The incredible images were taken by Euan Rannachan, 32, from the safety of a shark-proof cage.
He travels to Guadalupe Island off the coast of Mexico every year to capture pictures of the fearsome killers.
He said: “I try to show how unassuming and graceful these massive creatures can be, while also at a flip of a switch how accurate and precise they can be in their attack.
“These animals, while apex predators, are really much more.
“You really don’t appreciate that until you are in the water with them.
They are really not there to eat you but just curious like we are
“When you see they are really not there to eat you but just curious like we are... it allows you to totally relax and just enjoy their company.
“Sometimes I will go into the cage even without my camera just to hangout.”
Great whites, made famous in the film Jaws, are one of the largest species of shark and among the most feared.
Mr Rannachan added: “The benefit of Guadalupe is the water visibility.
“On a good day it is staggeringly clear, lending itself really well to photographing sharks.”
