Flensburg stabbing: Knifeman KILLED after injuring two in RAMPAGE on German train
A MAN who stabbed two people in a knife attack at a train station in Flensburg, Germany, has been shot and killed by police.
A fight broke out on the intercity train travelling north to Flensburg via Cologne and Hamburg.
During the journey a man attacked another person with a knife in carriage 10, Bild have reported.
Police were alerted at around 7pm.
When the train arrived in Flensburg at 7.06pm two police officers allegedly entered the train.
The attacker is then said to have attacked and injured a female police officer after which her colleague then shot and killed the man.
A police spokesperson confirmed that there had been a police operation after a knife attack where one person was killed.
Hanspeter Schwartz of the Federal Police said two people had been critically injured and one person had died during a knife attack on a train.
A police spokesman said that he was "not aware of" any connection to terrorism.
The area around Flensburg’s train station has been evacuated and closed off.
