AN easyJet flight from Barcelona to Berlin was granted an expedited landing after declaring a midair "emergency" this morning.

The easyJet flight took off from Barcelona at 9.30am BST. It landed in Berlin at 12.35pm.
AirLive said a midair "emergency" had been declared on board flight U24526.
They tweeted: "easyJet #U24526 to Berlin SXF is declaring an emergency."
Another aviation account on Twitter said a "general emergency" had been declared with the "reason unknown".

A spokeswoman for easyJet said the alert was due to a technical issue.
She said the plane was granted priority landing in Berlin.
The spokeswoman said: “easyJet can confirm that due to a technical issue flight EZY4526 from Barcelona to Berlin Schönefeld requested an expedited landing, as a precaution only and in line with our procedures.
“The safety and security of our passengers and crew is easyJet’s highest priority.”
