Syria attack: 'They are CRIMINALS!' Iran's leader LASHES OUT at tripartite US-led strike
IRAN's President Hassan Rouhani lashed out at the US-led military strike against the Assad regime accusing Donald Trump, Theresa May and Emmanuel Macron of having committed a "crime".
Iran's leader: The attack on Syria is a CRIME
Speaking in a press conference hours after the trilateral US-UK-French military strike against the Assad regime in Syria, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani said he was not afraid to shout "loud and clear" Donald Trump, Theresa May and Emmanuel Macron were "criminals".
He said: “The attack carried out on Syria overnight at dawn is a crime.
“I’m announcing it loud and clear. The presidents of the US and France as well as the British prime minister are criminals and have committed a crime.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin also called the attack an "act of aggression", stoking fears of a possible World War 3.
Syria attack: Iranian Presidents accuses Trump, May and Macron of being 'criminals'
The stern attack from the Iranian President comes after Donald Trump accused both Russia and Iran of being the "two countries most responsible for supporting the criminal Assad regime".
The US President said: "I also have a message tonight for the two governments most responsible for supporting, equipping, and financing the criminal Assad regime.
"To Iran, and to Russia, I ask: What kind of a nation wants to be associated with the mass murder of innocent men, women, and children?
"The nations of the world can be judged by the friends they keep. No nation can succeed in the long run by promoting rogue states, brutal tyrants, and murderous dictators.
The presidents of the US and France as well as the British prime minister are criminals
"In 2013, President Putin and his government promised the world that they would guarantee the elimination of Syria's chemical weapons. Assad's recent attack — and today's response — are the direct result of Russia's failure to keep that promise.
"Russia must decide if it will continue down this dark path, or if it will join with civilised nations as a force for stability and peace. Hopefully, someday we'll get along with Russia, and maybe even Iran — but maybe not."
Taking to Twitter, President Trump raged that Russia and Iran were responsible and called out the two leaders personally for the bloodshed that also critically injured 500 people.
He wrote: “Many dead, including women and children, in mindless CHEMICAL attack in Syria.
“Area of atrocity is in lockdown and encircled by Syrian Army, making it completely inaccessible to outside world.
"President Putin, Russia and Iran are responsible for backing Animal Assad.”
He added: “Big price to pay. Open area immediately for medical help and verification. Another humanitarian disaster for no reason whatsoever. SICK!”
The President’s outrage came just hours after the US demanded Russia condemned the attack, dubbed “one of the worst chemical attacks in Syrian history”.
