Kim Jong-un oversees Hwasong-15 missile launch
North Korea had previously sparked fears that World War 3 could erupt after a series of ICBM tests.
Kim Jong-un had seemingly paused his ambition to create an arsenal of deadly weapons, having not fired a rocket since mid-September.
However, on Wednesday morning Pyongyang time, the rogue state’s leader sent a statement to the world by launching a missile higher than ever before.

The weapon was “tipped with a super-large heavy warhead
Some experts have warned with a different trajectory the ICBM could have reached the United States – something Kim Jong-un has promised after spending months entangled in a furious war of words with Donald Trump.
North Korea has since released video footage of Kim Jong-un watching ones his Hwasong-15 rocket was sent into the night skies above Pyongyang.
The missile travelled for around 53 minutes eastward before crashing into the sea off of the coast of US ally Japan.
Gordon Chang: North Korea will be dangerous in nine months time
North Korea’s state-run Korean Central News Agency said the weapon was “tipped with a super-large heavy warhead which is capable of striking the whole mainland of the US”.
Nuclear experts have claimed while North Korea has yet to deliver a nuclear warhead on top of an ICBM, it is likely they will be able to achieve it soon.
Vipen Narang, as an associate professor at MIT who tracks North Korea’s nuclear capabilities, described the ICBM as a “monster” because it is much larger than anything they have produced before.
The professor said Kim Jong-un’s rocket was large enough to carry a powerful nuclear weapon, regardless of North Korea being able to compact it into a missile-friendly version.
He also predicted “at this point they could” launch a missile capable of hitting Donald Trump’s United States.
In a shock warning, Professor Narang added: “We have to assume that this thing can park a warhead on the Eastern Seaboard.”
