Barcelona Airport arrest: Three men detained in police operation DAYS after terror attack

Images have emerged of the trio being detained by armed officers
The trio were detained at Barcelona Airport's Terminal Two, with images showing armed police officers standing over them as they tried to get the situation under control.
Barcelona is on high alert after last week's terror attack which left 15 people dead and more than 100 injured when a van ploughed into pedestrians on Las Ramblas, in the heart of the city.
The news comes just a few hours after Younes Abouyaaqoub, 22, who is believed to have been driving the van, was shot dead by police after being spotted with an explosive belt strapped to him.
Catalan's police force, Mossos, confirmed officers shot Abouyaaqoub dead after a member of the public spotted him in a petrol station in Subirats, a small town west of Barcelona in the early afternoon.

A woman then spotted him and asked him what he was doing before he ran in the direction of some vineyards.
She then alerted the authorities who arrived quickly and shot the suspect.
A police helicopter was also seen flying around the area.

After shooting the Moroccan immigrant dead they deployed the Tedax bomb squad's robot as he was wearing an explosive belt.
The robot removed the belt from the body which was laying face down on the mountain road and confirmed the explosives were fake, during an hour-long operation.
Police requested members of the public did not give away their position during the operation.
The terrorists in Cambrils were shot dead by police after they were seen wearing explosive belts which were later found to be fake.
