North Korea is ignoring war threats and holding a huge party for Kim Jong-un
Despot Kim Jong-un today launched the five-day event, which celebrates his legacy and the legacies of his father Kim Jong-il and grandfather Kim il-Sung.
The huge party is taking place in Pyongyang, home to Kim and his closest allies.
Huge rallies, mass performances and speeches will be held across North Korea's capital. Thousands of civilians will also be expected to pay tribute to statues of their former leaders, who are still hailed as demigods.
It will also serve as an opportunity for Kim to once again issue provocative statements regarding America and Donald Trump.
The party will coincide with North Korea’s Liberation Day celebration on Tuesday, which marks Korea's WW2 victory over Japan.
On that day massive demonstrations will take place in North Korea’s cavernous Rungrado 1st of May Stadium. It is the largest stadium in the world and holds more than 100,000 people.

On Wednesday thousands of people took part in the mass demonstration, where they held up banners in favour of war.

The huge crowd held their fists in the air, waved provocative banners, chanted in unison and marched through Pyongyang as Kim announced he would send four missiles towards the US territory of Guam.
Many of those pictured in the crowd appeared malnourished and wearing ill-fitting clothes, an indication of the hunger in North Korea.
