RUSSIAN president Vladimir Putin shows there is no escaping his iron grip - even when he is on holiday.

The bare-chested leader showed off a pike he caught while he was spearfishing in the world’s deepest lake.
Sporting a mask and snorkel, Mr Putin braved the chilly waters to go hunting underwater for two hours in Lake Baikal in Russia’s Siberian wilderness.

Meanwhile President Donald Trump was in a far more sedate mood as he arrived in New Jersey with his family to relax at his sprawling Bedminster golfing estate.
The US President held the hand of his granddaughter Arabella Kushner as they disembarked Air Force One, with his grandson Joseph Kushner following behind.
Located 2,500 miles from Moscow, Lake Baikal is a favourite destination of 63-year-old Putin.
He was photographed near there in 2009 riding a horse, topless and sporting a pair of shades.
