The USS Carl Vinson has been docked in South Korea
In the last few days the huge warship held joint drills with Japan's naval forces off the country's coast.
The move is designed to show North Korea they will be attacked if they continue, but state media claims the communist nation's troops are not phased, and ready to sink the aircraft carrier with a single strike.
Yonhap revealed Vinson has since joined with South Korean warships.
An exercise between both countries is expected to continue into next week, with the South Korean Navy confirming: "South Korea and US strike forces began a drill in the East Sea from 6pm today against the backdrop of the current security situation."

Yet Pyongyang continues to come out guns blazing, insisting it is doing all it can to protect its people against “aggression from America”.
