Deadly blast rocks resort at British holiday hotspot: At least one dead and four injured
AT LEAST one person has been killed and dozens injured after a huge explosion sweet through a hotel in a popular tourist hotspot.
One staff member was killed in the boiler explosion
Flames ripped through the Rui Hotel, St James, in Jamaica’s famous Montego Bay on Thursday afternoon.
At least one person - believed to be a member of staff - was killed in the horror explosion.
Although earlier reports suggested another two people died in the blast, which was believed to have been caused by a faulty explosion.

The resort is in Jamaica’s famous Montego Bay
Holidaymaker Chris Ridley, who was staying in the hotel, told Daily Star Online: "We weren't told a great deal, just 'pack your bags, you are being evacuated'.
"It's a bit of a nightmare really."
Five hotel employees were reportedly working in the boiler room at the popular holiday destination when one of the devices exploded.
Four of the five men managed to escape, but one became trapped following the blast and was killed as he tried to flee.
The other men were rushed to hospital, where two are said to be in a critical condition.
The identify of the deceased employee has yet to be disclosed.
Guests have now been moved to other hotels in the region
Authorities have closed now closed the resort while investigators try to work out exactly what caused the explosion.
But police sources are currently unable to say what caused the blast.
Jamaica is a hugely popular destination for tourists, attracting hundreds of thousands of Brits to its sandy beaches every year.
