Marine Le Pen’s partner would REJECT ‘First Monsieur’ role if Front National wins
THE boyfriend of French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen has said he does not want to become the ‘First Monsieur’ of his country.
Marine Le Pen's boyfriend has been the vice president of the Front National since 2011
Louis Aliot, who has been in a relationship with the leader of the Front National since 2010, has said that he will not live in the Elysee Palace if his partner were to win the election.
If Marine Le Pen does win the unpredictable election, Mr Aliot would be the inaugural ‘First Man’ of France as she would be the first woman president of France.
Mr Aliot, who is the Front National vice president, took part in an official campaign event on Saturday in Perpignan in a rare display of public support for his partner.

I will not be a minister, nor will I be a prime minister, nor will I be the First Lady
French media has described Ms Le Pen’s partner as “withdrawn from the presidential campaign”.
Mr Aliot said: “I will not be a minister, nor will I be a prime minister, nor will I be the First Lady.
‘You do not vote for a couple to be President, but for a man or a woman. Partners should have nothing to say.”

The Front National vice president is divorced with two children of his own, but is reportedly close to Ms Le Pen’s children as well.
The leader of the Front National has said that neither her boyfriend or her niece, Marion Le Pen, will be given roles of ministers if she wins.
She said: “The French people have expressed their disagreement with family ties that may exist in politics. I have heard what they have said, and therefore my partner Louis Aliot or my niece would l be given a role as a minister in government.”
