Iraqi forces missed a golden opportunity to capture ISIS leader al-baghdadi in 2013
Weeks before he unleashed ISIS militants to carry out terror across the world, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi reportedly evaded capture through an underground tunnel in Mosul.
Sofia Amara, the Moroccan documentary director who created the film titled, ‘Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi: In the Footsteps of the Most Powerful Man in the World’, said Iraq’s elite Falcon Brigade missed the terrorist by a matter of minutes.
Ms Amara claims al-Baghdadi escaped from his house through a specially camouflaged bolt hole in the door.

Suzanne, a young girl who featured in the film, said she was held in al-Baghdadi’s northern Baghdad “whorehouse” home last year.
She said: “There was sex all the time. His wives were fighting over who would wear more make-up than the other.
“They used to bring girls for him to have sex with, and he would stay in the house and never go fighting.”
But sources who knew the terrorist as a child described him as a “nice boy”, in the documentary. They said his dreams of becoming a lawyer were shattered because his grades were not good enough.
He was also rejected by the Iraqi army because he was short-sighted.

He has proved to be an elusive target, rarely using communication that can be monitored and often moving locations multiple times in one 24-hour cycle, anonymous sources have claimed.
Al-Baghdadi’s ex-wife Saja was also filmed during the documentary, aired on French television last week.
She said the terrorist would always return home in the evening to tend to his cat.
Al-Baghdadi's number two Ayad al-Jumaili, more commonly known as “ISIS’ war minister” was killed in an airstrike near the Syrian border on Friday.
