Sturgeon plans ENDLESS independence campaign after winning referendum vote, Davidson says
NICOLA Sturgeon is planning a never-ending campaign to try to force Theresa May to give up over a second referendum, claims Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson.
Sturgeon is thought to re-ignite her independence campaign following the triggering of article 50
Ms Davidson said: “It provides yet more evidence that this SNP Government has given up on its stated priority to focus on education, and is now intent on running an endless campaign for another vote that people don’t want.”
Scottish Secretary, David Mundell, said that the earliest a referendum would be is 2020 as talks cannot start until after Brexit is completed.
The triggering of Article 50 is an act of 'self harm' according to Sturgeon

Ms Sturgeon said she will make a “formal approach” in the upcoming to Downing Street for talks and said she would express the plan “to progress the will of parliament”.
Ms Davidson said many Scottish people were “sick” of Nationalists campaigning for independence.
Theresa May triggered Article 50 officially today
Theresa May has always said that all efforts should be made on securing the best Brexit deal for the whole of the UK and not on a possible Scottish referendum vote.
It is thought that Sturgeon could call a snap election to get support among people in Scotland for another independence vote.
Nicola Sturgeon 'looks forward' to discussions with Theresa May
Ms Sturgeon said May’s decision to trigger Article 50 was one of the most destructive acts by a British leader in modern history.
She said: “Brexit – especially the hard Brexit shaped by May’s inability to shake off the agenda of the Ukip-tinged right wing of her own party – threatens to be an act of self-harm on a scale barely understood.”
