Terrified shoppers fear terror attack as man storms London high street with MEAT CLEAVER
TERRIFIED shoppers have told how they feared a terror attack when a man wielding a meat cleaver stormed a busy high street in London.
The man was said to be armed with a meat cleaver
People were forced to flee “shouting and screaming’ when the man stormed Dalston, north east London, just after 3pm on Sunday afternoon.
One man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, while police arrested a suspect in connection with the incident on Kingsland Road.
Eye-witness John Hall said he feared it was a “terror attack”.

He told The Sun: “I saw a lot of people running in the opposite direction and could hear a man screaming. I genuinely thought it was a terror attack, the amount of people running away.
“I kept on walking forward until I saw a man screaming and shouting a few feet in front of me.
“There was blood everywhere – pools of it all over the floor and up the walls of a nearby Ladbrokes.”
The 31-year-old added: “The man was storming up the road. Cars had to screech to a halt as he just walked out in front of them.
Witnesses took to Twitter to describe the unfolding drama
“It was really scary – people looked terrified. They were sprinting to get away.”
Others say the man was armed with a meat cleaver.

Residents wanted to find out what was going on in their area
“A man received serious injuries after a knife was used. We are awaiting updates on his condition.
“Another man was arrested near to the scene.”
