Migrant CRISIS: Hundreds of migrants storm Spanish border fence to reach enclave of Ceuta
HUNDREDS of migrants have stormed a border fence forcing their way into a Spanish enclave just days after another mass break in.
Over 350 immigrants climb over the Ceuta border fence
Some 350 migrants managed to clamber over a barricade separating Morocco and Ceuta, an autonomous Spanish city on the northern coast of Africa.
In the early hours of Monday morning, around 4am, the marauding pack made a break for the fence.
Standing a staggering 20 feet high, the five-mile long fence is topped with razor sharp barbed wire, often cutting migrants as they desperately try and cross it.
The group managed to break through the barrier amidst strong winds and driving rain.
Nearly a dozen people were injured in the stampede
The alarms along the border are often triggered by adverse weather, making it hard to monitor and providing cover for those wishing to sneak across.
Nearly a dozen people were injured in the stampede, Ceuta emergency services and the Red Cross confirmed.
Some 11 migrants were rushed to the University Hospital after the rush, eight of them with minor wounds and three with suspected fractures.
All are currently being cared for by the CETI (immigrant centre) and are awaiting identification.
There are already 1,400 migrants being housed at the centre which is critically over capacity, it only begin designed to accommodate 512 people.
The breach comes just days after nearly 500 migrants stormed the fence on Friday, with figures claiming 498 made it over the fence.

They are flash points for migrants trying to find a way into the EU.
