AN ATTACKER is on the run after a teenager was stabbed to death outside a school in Paris.

The 17-year-old was stabbed in the ribs surrounded by a crowd of youngsters near Lycée Charles de Gaulle in the French capital.
Le Parisian said the teenage boy collapsed and died outside the school in Paris’s 20th arrondissement as the youths and the attacker fled.
It is thought the boy was knifed during a fight outside school this afternoon but it is unclear how many suspects were involved.

The perpetrator or perpetrators of the stabbing is or are on the run, the circumstances are yet to be determined, there were several around the victim
A police source said "two suspicious individuals" were seen near the school before the attack.
The said: "The perpetrator or perpetrators of the stabbing is or are on the run, the circumstances are yet to be determined, there were several around the victim.”
Eyewitnesses said the victim tried to pull the knife out of his ribs before he died.

One student said: "There was a fight in front of the school, one against one, with blows of punches and then there was a knife there.”
A support unit has been set up at the school to comfort shocked pupils who witnesses the killing.
Police said the circumstances of the killing are still unclear.
French education minister Najat Vallaud-Belkacem has expressed her condolences.
