PRESIDENT Donald Trump celebrated his historic road to Presidency mouthing “I did it my way” to his First Lady, as they enjoyed their first dance during the Liberty Ball.

Frank Sinatra’s “My Way”, the song the Presidential couple danced to, contains the phrase, “when there was doubt… I ate it up and spit it out”, which seemed highly indicative of his campaign.

In a brief speech before their dance, Trump beamed at the audience and said: “Well, we did it. We did it. We began this journey and they said we, we, and me, we didn’t have a chance but we knew were going to win and we won.
“Today we had a great day. People that weren’t so nice to me were saying that we did a really good job today.
“They hated to do it, but they did it and I respect that. I respect that but I have to say the crowd was unbelievable today.”
Trump, who will go down in history as the President who invited the most religious leaders to commemorate his inauguration, evoked a biblical reference at the Liberty ball as he reflected on the "successful" inauguration ceremony.
