HORRIFIC footage has emerged after a teenager pushed a woman on to live train tracks as he tried to mug her in Germany.

The Moroccan-born boy attempted to rob the woman at a city train station in Hamburg's Reeperbahn district, just hours after being arrested for a separate assault at a different train station.
The 16-year-old approached the victim as she waited for her train at about 00:50 on Thursday morning, according to CCTV.
The footage shows the boy reaching into the woman’s handbag as she stands on the platform.

As the victim notices the attempted theft, a scuffle breaks out between the pair as she begins to resist.
The 34-year-old cries out for help, but the teen is alleged to have pushed her chest, forcing her backwards from the platform on to the tracks.
The woman had to be rescued by the railway station’s security team as she lay unconscious on the tracks – by the time they had arrived the suspect had fled the scene.
The victim was knocked unconscious and required hospital treatment for her injuries
It’s understood she suffered lacerations and concussions and required hospital treatment for her injuries.
Police say no trains had been approaching the station at the time of the incident.
It’s understood the boy had been detained for another assault on a woman in Hamburg a few hours before, but made-off from the police station where he was being held.

According to German newspaper De Welt, the minor had been staying in Germany illegally and is known to the police.
He was eventually rearrested in the early hours on Thursday when he was spotted by officers on patrol in a nearby street.
The case is now being looked into by the town’s criminal investigation service.
