BARACK Obama’s youngest daughter enjoyed a weekend at the beach with friends but the teenager was unable to escape from a team of secret service agents.

The 15-year-old was pictured in Miami with friends including Vice President Joe Biden’s granddaughter Maisy.
Security service agents in plain clothes and hotel security surrounded the group on Miami Beach.
The security team served as a timely reminder of her status as her dad Barack Obama prepares to leave the White House.

But although the Obamas will no longer be America’s First Family they will still be protected by the secret service.
Under the Former Presidents Protection Act, former presidents and first ladies are entitled to lifetime secret service protection once they leave office.
Former president’s children are entitled to the same protection until they are 16-years-old.

Sasha’s trip to the beach comes days after she missed her father’s farewell speech.
Her mother Michelle and sister Malia, 17, were in the crowd as President Obama praised his family for their support during his presidency.
Mr Obama told the crowd: “Michelle – for the past twenty-five years, you’ve been not only my wife and mother of my children, but my best friend.

“You took on a role you didn’t ask for and made it your own with grace and grit and style and good humor. You made the White House a place that belongs to everybody.
“And a new generation sets its sights higher because it has you as a role model. You’ve made me proud. You’ve made the country proud.
“Malia and Sasha, under the strangest of circumstances, you have become two amazing young women, smart and beautiful, but more importantly, kind and thoughtful and full of passion.

The First Lady later told Jimmy Fallon that Sasha missed the speech in Chicago to study for an exam in Washington DC.
The family will remain in the capital until Sasha finishes high school.
