A SUSPECTED paedophile who lives in Britain has been arrested by Polish police after he returned to his home country for a family reunion.

The Polish man, who has not been named, was detained in Poznan following an investigation into a large child abuse gang.
Investigators said they had arrested seven suspects in total for allegedly having used online chatrooms to lure in children below the age of 15.
After establishing contact with the minors, the youngsters were tricked into stripping down and performing sex acts which the suspects recorded and published online, officials said.
Police spokeswoman Agnieszka Hamelusz said: "One of the detained people is a man who lives permanently in Great Britain who came to Poland for a family reunion and a holiday.

"The men received the content via instant messaging and webcams.
"They initiated contact with the children, who were urged by them to undress and perform various sexual acts.
"The men exchanged files via channels and e-mail specially created for these activities."
The suspected child abusers were detained in four Polish provinces, Lubelskie, Opolskie, Zachodniopomorskie and Slaskie.

Officials said all seven have had formal charges brought against them at the local district prosecutor's office.
The arrested followed a two-year investigation which has allegedly uncovered a secret paedophile network spreading from Poland to Norway, Ireland and now the UK.
Police said they have seized computers, portable hard drives, pen drives, CDs and DVDs with child-sex content from the homes of the suspects.
A total of 22 suspects have been arrested so far in the investigation.
