GERMANY TERROR: Cologne train station EVACUATED following BOMB THREAT
COLOGNE train station has been evacuated after authorities received a bomb threat.
A Cologne train station has been evacuated
Police have confirmed the city centre station was evacuated following the threat, which was received by telephone.
Officers received the warning at around 6.00pm this evening, although they have since searched the station and declared the all-clear.
A spokeswoman for the city's police service said: "We have taken the call very seriously with regard to the current security situation in Germany."
Police have stated the call was a false alarm but they have no offered any explanation on who made the call.
Deutsche Bahn and KVB services were affected as passengers made their way out of the station.

The station is one of Germany's busiest, with almost 300,000 passengers using Köln Hauptbahnhof every day.
The evacuation comes the day after 12 people were killed in a suspected terror attack in Berlin.
