ISIS fighters were ambushed by Kurdish militants in Iraq as they attempted to flee the under-siege city of Mosul.
ISIS convoy ambushed as they attempt to leave Syria
The footage was released by Iraq’s Ministry of Defence on Wednesday which said it showed an airstrike on Islamic State forces.
Isis militants were spotted between Mosul and Sinjar, near Tal Afar, when they came under fire from the Iraqi Kurdish militant group.
It is thought the Isis fighters were attempting to make their way to Sinjar and head in the direction of Syria as the fight to liberate Mosul goes on.
However the militants were stopped on their tracks in the middle of the night as they were targeted by pin-point airstrikes.

A thermal camera captured the event which sees the convoy hit by multiple explosive devices.
After the first strike and explosion a man can be seen dragging another Isis militant away from the explosion as he lay still on the floor.
During this moment other Isis fighters try to escape from the attack.
The convoy is believed to have left Mosul and headed for Sinjar, in the same direction as Syria, in the night time before coming under attack.

Mosul has been under siege for over six weeks
It is believed Islamic State fighters are running low on ammunition in Mosul and are slowly being forced out of the northern Iraqi city – the group's de-facto capital in Iraq.
Isis has held the city for over two years, however now it seems militants are pushing the barbaric terrorists back.

Mosul has been under siege from coalition air power and Iraqi and Kurdish forces for over six weeks.
The UK recently came under fire for not doing more to support the fight against Isis in Syria after figures were released suggesting there have only been 30 attacks in Syria in the last year.
